Case FLMSD08-00167 - SUSAN KENNEDY VS. FRANK HOWARD

Susan Kennedy and Susan Polk
Contra Costa County Jail

During the trial of Susan Polk her cellmate was Susan Kennedy. Ms. Kennedy was a resident of Danville, graduated from San Ramon High School connected to the Frank/Fred Howard known around twins as the Howard Brothers.

Pete Bennett knew Susan like many others via performing or singing at local clubs. We reconnected years later having coffee in downtown Walnut Creek. She was nice and polite, our conversation short.

The picture taken with her phone near Locust Starbucks but came via Frank Howard who each suffered devastating back-to-back fires with houses they inherited.  Then they ended up in Probate with Judge Persky.

According to the Contra Costa Coroner she was stabbed to death with 21 punctures in her Concord apartment. Her father is Bill Kennedy former President of Bay Alarm.  Raised in Danville.

Another deadwitness connected to the high profile murder of Pamela Vitale

Eek! Feds charge Concord man who allegedly plotted mass murder of Jews, cops with lying to join the army

This sounds like someone got to him.  If he's smart enough to post bail then he's smart enough to spend time in jail.

This is the county with two faces and many sides.

Feds charge Concord man who allegedly plotted mass murder of Jews, cops with lying to join the army

Federal charges filed Friday

Ross Anthony Farca, 23, was charged with criminal threats and gun possession.
PUBLISHED:  | UPDATED:

OAKLAND — Federal charges have been filed against a Concord man who allegedly posted online about wanting to shoot up a synagogue and kill as many Jewish people and police officers as possible.

Ross Anthony Farca, 23, was charged Friday with making false statements in order to attempt joining the military. The charging records allege that Farca lied in order to join the U.S. Army.

The charges are the latest legal problem for Farca, who in June was charged in Contra Costa County with making criminal threats and possessing an assault weapon, which Farca allegedly made from parts he ordered online.

Federal authorities arrested Farca at his home Thursday morning, where he’d been out on bail in his Contra Costa case. He remains in federal custody, and on Tuesday a judge will decide whether to keep him jailed, set bail, or release him with conditions.

00:15 / 00:29SKIP AD

Farca allegedly lied about his mental history in order to join the U.S. Army in June 2017, the complaint alleges. He was successful in duping army recruiters, granted admission, and sent to a basic training facility in Georgia, prosecutors say.

Once there, Farca assaulted one of his fellow trainees, according to the complaint.

Farca was arrested by Concord police in June and charged with making criminal threats after he allegedly posted on the video game platform Steam that he wanted to imitate the Poway synagogue shooter “except with a Nazi uniform on” and tally “a body count of at least 30.” He also allegedly referred to the Christchurch mosque shooter as “a hero.”

“I would probably get a body count of like 30 (Jews) and then like five police officers because I would also decide to fight to the death,” Farca said in one post, using a derogatory term to refer to Jewish people, according to court records. In other posts, he allegedly discussed picking a “better target than some random synagogue,” and referred to Jews as “subhumans.”

He was also charged with manufacturing and possessing an illegal assault weapon after police searched Farca’s home and found an assault rifle he claimed to have made, 13 empty magazines, a three-foot Katana sword, camouflage clothes, pistol ammunition, a hunting knife and books about Hitler youth and Nazis.

The day after he was arrested, Farca was released upon posting a $12,500 deposit for his $125,000 bail. He remains out of custody at least until his preliminary hearing on Dec. 9 under the condition that he can be searched by police at any time and must not possess firearms or ammunition.

His release has alarmed members of the Jewish community, fearing that without constant supervision, Farca would act on his violent threats.

During a search of Farca’s home, authorities say they seized books about Hitler, as well as a camouflage uniform, a homemade AR-15-style rifle, several magazines, and pistol ammunition.

Pay Pete Bennett for damages Mayor sends letter to CPUC for expenses associated with shutoffs, two fires in October.

Lafayette asks state to require PG&E to pay back city for power shutoff costs

Mayor sends letter to CPUC for expenses associated with shutoffs, two fires in October.

LAFAYETTE — Lafayette’s mayor, calling the PG&E’s power shutoffs “unacceptable,” has written a letter to the state seeking to recoup the city’s costs during last month’s shutoffs and fires.
“The two recent Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) events in October had significant, costly and detrimental impacts on residents and businesses in the city of Lafayette, as well as on city services and essential operations,” wrote Mayor Mike Anderson in a Nov. 19 letter to Marybel Batjer, president of the California Public Utilities Commission.
Anderson asks that the utilities commission order PG&E to reimburse Lafayette $26,000 — and require Pacific Gas & Electric to compensate all cities for the costs associated with future power shutoffs. In addition to Batjer, the letter was sent to Gov. Gavin Newsom, PG&E CEO William Johnson and others.
Lafayette had to pay overtime for public works employees and police during the outages on Oct. 9-10 and Oct. 27-29. In addition, the two Oct. 27 fires extensively damaged the Lafayette Tennis Club building on Camino Diablo, destroyed two outbuildings and did minor damage to the roof of a home. Contra Costa County fire officials later confirmed that the utility’s electrical equipment caused both fires.
Because of those fires, 800 Lafayette homes had to be evacuated, according to the city.
“The PSPS events had a detrimental impact on our downtown, which is mainly comprised of small businesses,” the mayor’s letter continued. “Many of the businesses suffered significant losses in revenues and perishable inventory; some are still struggling to return to normal.”
Mayor Anderson pointed out PG&E’s notice to Lafayette, among other Bay Area cities, about the potential for another power outage this week, which the utility later canceled. He said the notifications are “making it seem that the new normal.”
“This is unacceptable, and the CPUC should immediately demand the development of a long-term corrective plan from PG&E that will counteract the need for future power shutoffs,” the mayor’s letter said. “The city of Lafayette believes that the CPUC must step in immediately to ensure that these costly power outages cease sooner rather than later.”
