Vornado Trust Wins WTC Leases months before the bombing

Connecting Success Factors to Bennett

The Dubious Phone Call and Time Wasting Project
The folks at TPG will have to answer to my Whistleblower Complaints on the truly odd collection of RFPs emanating from companies connected to Richard Blum, William McGlashan, CBRE, Regency Centers, Trammell Crow, Lennar, Catellus.
My story is about witness murders, private equity, mergers and acquisitions linked back to the Matter of Bennett v. Southern Pacific lost in 1989.  It was a winnable case as long the witnesses testified.

Vornado wins WTC lease

February 22, 2001
Web posted at: 23 1 GMT

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Vornado Realty Trust Thursday won the bidding for a 99-year lease on New York City's famed World Trade Center with a $3.25 billion offer.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey chose Paramus, N.J.-based Vornado (VNO: Research, Estimates) from a group of bidders including Silverstein Properties and a joint bid by Brookfield Properties Corp. and Boston Properties Inc.

After a meeting of the Port Authority's board, it said it had entered into a 20-day exclusive negotiating period with Vornado.

The winning bid grants a 99-year lease on the two 110-floor, 1,368-foot twin towers, two other office buildings and a 90-store mall. The Port Authority will remain the landlord with title to the land the properties occupy.

The World Trade Center, which sits on 16 acres in lower Manhattan, has seven times the office space of another of New York's landmark buildings, the 102-story Empire State Building.

"It has been a long process but a good process, and we are now continuing with Gov. George Pataki's promise to privatize assets that are not related to the core mission of the Port Authority, such as the Vista Hotel, which was privatized, and now the World Trade Center," Charles Gargano, vice chairman of the board, told Reuters.

"We can move forward with a lot of funds now to work on more transportation for the region which is what we're all about," he added.

The Port Authority is scheduled to meet March 14 to approve a final contract. A Port Authority source said the manner of payment is one of the items that will be under negotiation.

The twin towers have become a major New York tourist attraction since they were opened in 1970, with a sightseeing platform on the roof and a popular restaurant bar called Windows on the World, where cocktail drinkers can watch the sun go down over the Statue of Liberty and New Jersey.

The World Trade Center has seen hang-gliders jump off the roof, "Spiderman" climbers rappel up the side and a tight-rope walker's high-wire stroll between the towers. It has also seen tragedy with suicides in the early years and a February 1993 terrorist bombing that killed six people.

Whether New York City will get tax revenue from the World Trade Center under Vornado as lease holder was not immediately known. Currently, the Port Authority gives the city a payment in lieu of taxes, which amounted to about $29 million last year. City officials have said they could get four times that in taxes from the tenants of the complex.

Shares of Vornado closed Thursday down 95 cents at $34.57

Someone Gets It

By Richard Esposito
Special to CNN

As darkness falls, the city seems different.

It is quiet. Streets are empty. Official cars covered with rubble dust are driving in silence.

The reports are of at least 78 police officers unaccounted for and perhaps 300 firefighters presumed dead. We may learn of other emergency workers who died racing into danger before the second plane struck the World Trade Center, desperately trying to save others, others who were already killed or about to die.

There are no official counts of how many are dead. But this can already be felt: the number will change a city and change a nation.

The mayor has said the numbers will be horrific. A former New York City police commissioner agrees the city will never be the same.

Now, the counting is being done by calculation. No exact numbers. Just facts that add up to a sum that is truly unthinkable.

The two main Trade Center towers that fell housed at least 50,000 workers. Beneath them is a subway concourse, where tens of thousands more arrived to work in lower Manhattan, exiting trains even as the planes arrived.

At this time, no one knows how many were killed by the impact of the planes, or the explosions or how many lay dying beneath the stories of rubble that cover the streets when the walls melted and collapsed.

Firefighter emergency beepers, the ones they wear to keep track of each other inside burning buildings, are slowly fading as batteries run out. Frantic cell phone calls have rescuers trying to dig out possible survivors.

But even if we had the numbers, we don't have the context to comprehend them. A bad year in Vietnam during the height of the war is one way to look at what happened yesterday in New York City.

The last time the Trade Center was hit, it was a car bomb. When that occurred, in 1993, most of the workers were evacuated. Then, the streets were cold, and there were snow flurries that people walked through when they crept out of the building. This time, there were people jumping from the building to try to get out.

By nightfall, correspondents on television were doing reports from in front of what would have been the Twin Towers as backdrop. Instead, there was an empty, dark night.

This will have an impact on people that will be known only in retrospect. Nothing recent compares. Not Waco nor Oklahoma City nor the beating of Rodney King.

I live in New York and the first thing I thought of was my daughter and whether she was safe. She was. Then, I thought about how this will affect her life. She is a little shy of seven. She may have an inkling that her world has changed. I did, when a little shy of seven I learned that John F. Kennedy was slain.

Last night, though, there was only shock, the kind of devastation that precedes mourning. After the attacks, midtown Manhattan seemed changed. The streets were crowded. But people moved slowly. You could hear voices, even from a taxi, of people talking to each other. It was very strange. No cell phones. Virtually no traffic.

Just an eerie twilight end to a terrible summer tragedy.

The Flawed Anthrax Investigation

PCB10019 The Anthrax Investigation

Bennett Customer

Card image cap

Pete Bennett a resident of Contra Costa County since 1978 has left numerous requests for police reports. Behind Bennett is a meter reader, a Walnut Creek Police Car and the boot of an officer while he lay bleeding in the street. Bennett was taken to Kaiser for scans when did get the skull fracture, then she noticed the broken collar bone, then the rotator cuff, then she noticed this was the first assualt case based on my charts.

The Titan's Feel Good Story Bennett Public Poison Allegations HEAD of the FBI’s Anthrax Investigation Says the Whole Thing Was a SHAM Posted on The FBI head agent in charge of the anthrax investigation – Richard Lambert – has just filed a federal whistleblower lawsuit calling the entire FBI investigation bullsh!t: In the fall of 2001, following the 9/11 attacks, a series of anthrax mailings occurred which killed five Americans and sickened 17 others. Four anthrax-laden envelopes were recovered which were addressed to two news media outlets in New York City (the New York Post and Tom Brokaw at NBC) and two senators in Washington D.C. (Patrick Leahy and Tom Daschle). The anthrax letters addressed to New York were mailed on September 18, 2001, just seven days after the 9/11 attacks. The letters addressed to the senators were mailed 21 days later on October 9, 2001. A fifth mailing of anthrax is believed to have been directed to American Media, Inc. (AMI) in Boca Raton, Florida based upon the death of one AMI employee from anthrax poisoning and heavy spore contamination in the building. Pete Bennett said "POISON" publicly Less than four days later my The Strack Family (Mormon) (Bennett relatives) were murdered in Springville UT. The COD was poison, methadone and cold medicine (codeine). There are stolen trust documents linked to this murder are with Alamo 1st Members linked to my former Employer Ivory Consulting , whose clients include GE Capital, Caterpillar and other companies that require leasing solutions. Chris took all my files with the help of the Mormon Church which economically devastated me financially. What I'm saying today will end up in a RICO lawsuit just Mr. Lambert's allegations which mirror my separate story. My former employer assisted with abducting, then brainwashing my sons into the Mormon Church.

When uncorvring a long list of suicides, accidents and fires near these people it was clear they are experts thieves. Alice Roberts estate was plundered by David Nearon is one of many examples. Exonerating Evidence for Ivins Agent Lambert won’t publicly disclose the exculpatory evidence against Ivins. As the New York Times reports : [Lambert] declined to be specific, saying that most of the information was protected by the Privacy Act and was unlikely to become public unless Congress carried out its own inquiry. But there is already plenty of exculpatory evidence in the public record. For example : Handwriting analysis failed to link the anthrax letters to known writing samples from Ivins No textile fibers were found in Ivins’ office, residence or vehicles matching fibers found on the scotch tape used to seal the envelopes No pens were found matching the ink used to address the envelopes Samples of his hair failed to match hair follicles found inside the Princeton, N.J., mailbox used to mail the letters No souvenirs of the crime, such as newspaper clippings, were found in his possession as commonly seen in serial murder cases

The FBI could not place Ivins at the crime scene with evidence, such as gas station or other receipts, at the time the letters were mailed in September and October 2001 Lab records show the number of late nights Ivins put in at the lab first spiked in August 2001, weeks before the 9/11 attacks As noted above, the FBI didn’t want to test the DNA sample found on the anthrax letter to Senator Leahy. In addition, McClatchy points out : After locking in on Ivins in 2007, the bureau stopped searching for a match to a unique genetic bacterial strain scientists had found in the anthrax that was mailed to the Post and to NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw, although a senior bureau official had characterized it as the hottest clue to date.

Anthrax vaccine expert Meryl Nass. M.D., notes : The FBI’s alleged motive is bogus. In 2001, Bioport’s anthrax vaccine could not be (legally) relicensed due to potency failures, and its impending demise provided room for Ivins’ newer anthrax vaccines to fill the gap. Ivins had nothing to do with developing Bioport’s vaccine, although in addition to his duties working on newer vaccines, he was charged with assisting Bioport to get through licensure. *** The FBI report claims the anthrax letters envelopes were sold in Frederick, Md. Later it admits that millions of indistinguishable envelopes were made, with sales in Maryland and Virginia. *** FBI emphasizes Ivins’ access to a photocopy machine, but fails to mention it was not the machine from which the notes that accompanied the spores were printed.

FBI Fudged the Science 16 government labs had access to the same strain of anthrax as used in the anthrax letters. The FBI admitted that up to 400 people had access to flask of anthrax in Dr. Ivins’ lab. In other words, even if the killer anthrax came from there, 399 other people might have done it. Moreover, even the FBI’s claim that the killer anthrax came from Ivins’ flask has completely fallen apart. Specifically, both the National Academy of Science and the Government Accountability Office – both extremely prestigious, nonpartisan agencies – found that FBI’s methodology and procedures for purportedly linking the anthrax flask maintained by Dr. Ivins with the anthrax letters was sloppy, inconclusive and full of holes . They found that the alleged link wasn’t very strong … and that there was no firm link . Indeed, the National Academy of Sciences found that the anthrax mailed to Congressmen and the media could have come from a different source altogether than the flask maintained by Ivins. Additionally, the Ft. Detrick facility – where Ivins worked – only handled liquid anthrax. But the killer anthrax was a hard-to-make dry powder form of anthrax.

Ft. Detrick doesn’t produce dry anthrax; but other government labs – for example Dugway (in Utah) and Batelle (in Ohio) – do. The anthrax in the letters was also incredibly finely ground; and the FBI’s explanation for how the anthrax became so finely ground doesn’t even pass the smell test Further, the killer anthrax in the letters had a very high-tech anti-static coating so that the anthrax sample "floated off the glass slide and was lost" when scientists tried to examine it. Specifically, the killer anthrax was coated with polyglass and each anthrax spore given an electrostatic charge , so that it would repel other spores and "float". This was very advanced bio-weapons technology to which even Ivins’ bosses said he didn’t have access. Top anthrax experts like Richard Spertzel say that Ivins didn’t do it. Spertzel also says that only 4 or 5 people in the entire country knew how to make anthrax of the "quality" used in the letters, that Spertzel was one of them, and it would have taken him a year with a full lab and a staff of helpers to do it. As such, the FBI’s claim that Ivins did it alone working a few nights is ludicrous. Moreover, the killer anthrax contained silicon … but the anthrax in Ivins’ flask did not . The FBI claimed the silicon present in the anthrax letters was absorbed from its surroundings … but Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories completely debunked that theory. In other words, silicon was intentionally added to the killer anthrax to make it more potent. Ivins and Ft. Detrick didn’t have that capability … but other government labs did .

Similarly, Sandia National Lab found the presence of iron and tin in the killer anthrax … but NOT in Ivins’ flask of anthrax. Sandia also found that there was a strain of bacteria in one of the anthrax letters not present in Ivins’ flask. (The bacteria, iron, tin and silicon were all additives which made the anthrax in the letters more deadly.) The Anthrax Frame Up Ivins wasn’t the first person framed for the anthrax attacks … Although the FBI now admits that the 2001 anthrax attacks were carried out by one or more U.S. government scientists, a senior FBI official says that the FBI was actually told to blame the Anthrax attacks on Al Qaeda by White House officials (remember what the anthrax letters looked like ). Government officials also confirm that the white House tried to link the anthrax to Iraq as a justification for regime change in that country. And see this People don’t remember now, but the "war on terror" and Iraq war were largely based on the claim that Saddam and Muslim extremists were behind the anthrax attacks (and see this and this ) And the anthrax letters pushed a terrified Congress into approving the Patriot Act without even reading it .

Coincidentally, the only Congressmen who received anthrax letters were the ones who were likely to oppose the Patriot Act . And – between the bogus Al Qaeda/Iraq claims and the FBI’s fingering of Ivins as the killer – the FBI was convinced that another U.S. government scientist, Steven Hatfill, did it. The government had to pay Hatfill $4.6 million to settle his lawsuit for being falsely accused. Ivins’ Convenient Death It is convenient for the FBI that Ivins died.

The Wall Street Journal points out : No autopsy was performed [on Ivins], and there was no suicide note. Dr. Nass points out : FBI fails to provide any discussion of why no autopsy was performed, nor why, with Ivins under 24/7 surveillance from the house next door, Garbage being combed through, the FBI failed to notice that he overdosed and went into a coma. Nor is there any discussion of why the FBI didn’t immediately identify tylenol as the overdose substance, and notify the hospital, A well-known antidote for tylenol toxicity could be given (N-acetyl cysteine, or alternatively glutathione). These omissions support the suggestion that Ivins’ suicide was a convenience for the FBI. It enabled them to conclude the anthrax case, in the absence of evidence that would satisfy the courts. Indeed, one of Ivins’ colleagues at Ft. Deitrich thinks he was murdered . Whether murder or suicide, Ivins’ death was very convenient for the FBI, as dead men can’t easily defend themselves.

New York Area Fire Commissioners Make History, Call for New 9/11 Investigation

On September 18, 2001 Pete Bennett was contracted to AT&T (SBCGlobal) delivered the virus payload known as NIMBA.  Soon after he discovers in the matter of Bennett v. Southern his key witness had been murdered in 1989.

When you hear the words Never Forget and understand what it truly means then read the full text of the below then you'll understand how hard a large group of unconnected self motivated citizen investigators have worked to solve events around 9/11.

They started off by saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Ten minutes later, they were reading the text of a resolution claiming the existence of “overwhelming evidence” that “pre-planted explosives . . . caused the destruction of the three World Trade Center buildings.”
And so it was, on July 24, 2019 — nearly 18 years after the horrific attacks that traumatized a nation and changed the world forever — the Franklin Square and Munson Fire District, which oversees a volunteer fire department serving a hamlet of 30,000 residents just outside of Queens, New York, became the first legislative body in the country to officially support a new investigation into the events of 9/11.
The resolution, drafted and introduced by Commissioner Christopher Gioia, was unanimously approved by the five commissioners. Members of the audience — including the families of fallen firefighters Thomas J. Hetzel and Robert Evans, both Franklin Square natives — joined in solemn but celebratory applause after the fifth “ay” was spoken.
Franklin Square Munson Fire Districts Commission 768From left to right: Commissioner Philip F. Malloy, Jr.; Commissioner Dennis G. Lyons; District Secretary Kerry Santina; Commissioner Joseph M. Torregrossa; Attorney Kenneth Gray; Commissioner Christopher L. Gioia; Commissioner Les Saltzman
Conversing with guests after the meeting, Commissioner Dennis Lyons remarked on the enormous and lasting toll that 9/11 has taken on the Franklin Square community. “We have a memorial — a piece of steel from the World Trade Center with 28 holes where the nuts and bolts used to go,” Lyons explained. “Every year on the 11th, we put a rose in each hole for the 24 Nassau County firefighters and four Franklin Square residents who died on 9/11.”

— Commissioner Dennis Lyons

The impact of 9/11 on the community extends well beyond the victims and their grieving families. On September 12, 2001, the Franklin Square Fire Department was called in to assist with the massive rescue and recovery effort that was just getting underway. Countless members of the department, including Gioia and Commissioner Philip Malloy (then rank-and-file firefighters), spent weeks on the pile searching in vain for civilians and fellow responders who might still be alive. Today, Malloy is one of thousands suffering chronic health effects.
Hetzel Memorial 768A memorial to Thomas J. Hetzel, a member of the New York Fire Department and Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department, who died on September 11, 2001.
The department also lost one of its own in Thomas J. Hetzel, affectionately referred to as “Tommy” by the commissioners. Hetzel was a full-time member of the New York Fire Department in addition to serving as a volunteer firefighter in Franklin Square. A touching memorial to Hetzel was on display during the meeting, and Hetzel’s widow, parents, and sister were all in attendance.
“The Hetzel and Evans families were very appreciative of the proceedings,” Gioia commented the day after the meeting. “They know it’s an uphill struggle. But at least they have hope, which is something they haven’t had in a long time.”

Franklin Square Munson Fire Districts Family 2 768 432The Franklin Square and Munson Fire District commissioners greet the families of fallen firefighters Thomas J. Hetzel and Robert Evans, both Franklin Square natives.
Besides the commissioners’ desire to see justice done for their fallen brothers and deceased neighbors, the driving force behind the resolution was a petition filed last year with United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York Geoffrey S. Berman by the Lawyers’ Committee for 9/11 Inquiry, outlining the evidence of the World Trade Center’s explosive demolition on 9/11.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office notified the Lawyers’ Committee in November that it would indeed comply with the federal statute requiring the U.S. Attorney to present the petition to a special grand jury. The news set off a wave of hope, among those paying attention, that the wheels of justice were finally beginning to move in the right direction.
Adding a surge to that wave of hope, the Franklin Square resolution declares the fire district’s full backing of the (presumably) ongoing grand jury investigation in Lower Manhattan, while also proclaiming the district’s support for “any and all efforts by other government entities to investigate and uncover the full truth surrounding the events of that horrible day.”

“We’re a tight-knit community and we never forget our fallen brothers and sisters. You better believe that when the entire fire service of New York State is on board, we will be an unstoppable force.”
— Commissioner Christopher Gioia

Speaking to those still present after the meeting, Gioia made it clear that this was the first step in a long process. Their goal now is to get every fire district in the state to go on record supporting a new 9/11 investigation.
“We’re a tight-knit community and we never forget our fallen brothers and sisters,” Gioia said. “You better believe that when the entire fire service of New York State is on board, we will be an unstoppable force.”
After a pause, Gioia added, “We were the first fire district to pass this resolution. We won’t be the last.”

The Franklin Square and Munson Fire District 9/11 Resolution

Whereas, the attacks of September 11, 2001, are inextricably and forever tied to the Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department;
Whereas, on September 11, 2001, while operating at the World Trade Center in New York City, firefighter Thomas J. Hetzel, badge #290 of Hook and Ladder Company #1, Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department of New York, was killed in performance of his duties, along with 2,976 other emergency responders and civilians;
Whereas, members of the Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department were called upon to assist in the subsequent rescue and recovery operations and cleanup of the World Trade Center site, afflicting many of them with life-threatening illnesses as a result of breathing the deadly toxins present at the site;
Whereas, the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Franklin Square and Munson Fire District recognizes the significant and compelling nature of the petition before the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York reporting un-prosecuted federal crimes at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and calling upon the United States Attorney to present that petition to a Special Grand Jury pursuant to the United States Constitution and 18 U.S.C. SS 3332(A);
Whereas, the overwhelming evidence presented in said petition demonstrates beyond any doubt that pre-planted explosives and/or incendiaries — not just airplanes and the ensuing fires — caused the destruction of the three World Trade Center buildings, killing the vast majority of the victims who perished that day;
Whereas, the victims of 9/11, their families, the people of New York City, and our nation deserve that every crime related to the attacks of September 11, 2001, be investigated to the fullest and that every person who was responsible face justice;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Franklin Square and Munson Fire District fully supports a comprehensive federal grand jury investigation and prosecution of every crime related to the attacks of September 11, 2001, as well as any and all efforts by other government entities to investigate and uncover the full truth surrounding the events of that horrible day.

The security company, formerly named Securacom and now named Stratesec, is in Sterling, Va.. Its CEO, Barry McDaniel, said the company had a ``completion contract" to handle some of the security at the World Trade Center ``up to the day the buildings fell down."

It also had a three-year contract to maintain electronic security systems at Dulles Airport, according to a Dulles contracting official. Securacom/Stratesec also handled some security for United Airlines in the 1990s, according to McDaniel, but it had been completed before his arriving on the board in 1998.

McDaniel confirmed that the company has security contracts with the Department of Defense, including the U.S. Army, but did not detail the nature of the work, citing security concerns. It has an ongoing line with the General Services Administration - meaning that its bids for contracts are noncompetitive - and also did security work for the Los Alamos laboratory before 1998.

Marvin P. Bush, the president's youngest brother, was a director at Stratesec from 1993 to fiscal year 2000. But the White House has not publicly disclosed Bush connections in any of its responses to 9/11, nor has it mentioned that another Bush-linked business had done security work for the facilities attacked.

Marvin Bush joined Securacom when it was capitalized by the Kuwait-American Corporation, a private investment firm in D.C. that was the security company's major investor, sometimes holding a controlling interest. Marvin Bush has not responded to telephone calls and e-mails for comment.

KuwAm has been linked to the Bush family financially since the Gulf War. One of its principals and a member of the Kuwaiti royal family, Mishal Yousef Saud al Sabah, served on the board of Stratesec.

The managing director at KuwAm, Wirt D. Walker III, was also a principal at Stratesec, and Walker, Marvin Bush and al Sabah are listed in SEC filings as significant shareholders in both companies during that period.

Marvin Bush's last year on the board at Stratesec coincided with his first year on the board of HCC Insurance, formerly Houston Casualty Co., one of the insurance carriers for the WTC. He left the HCC board in November 2002.

But none of these connections has been looked at during the extensive investigations since 9/11. McDaniel says principals and other personnel at Stratesec have not been questioned or debriefed by the FBI or other investigators. Walker declined to answer the same question regarding KuwAm, referring to the public record.

Walker is also chairman and CEO of Aviation General, a Tulsa, Okla.-based aviation company with two subsidiaries. SEC filings also show al Sabah as a principal and shareholder in Aviation General, which was recently delisted by the Nasdaq. Stratesec was delisted by the American Stock Exchange in October 2002.

The suite in which Marvin Bush was annually re-elected, according to public records, is located in the Watergate in space leased to the Saudi government. The company now holds shareholder meetings in space leased by the Kuwaiti government there. The White House has not responded to various requests for comment.

Speaking of the Watergate, Riggs National Bank, where Saudi Princess Al-Faisal had her ``Saudi money trail" bank account, has as one of its executives Jonathan Bush, an uncle of the president. The public has not learned whether Riggs - which services 95 percent of Washington's foreign embassies - will be turning over records relating to Saudi finance.

Meanwhile, Bush has nominated William H. Donaldson to head the Securities and Exchange Commission. Donaldson, a longtime Bush family friend, was a Yale classmate of Jonathan Bush.

On the very day of the tragic space shuttle crash, the government appointed an independent investigative panel, and rightly so. Why didn't it do the same on Sept. 12, 2001?
