Damage estimated at $60 million from Safeway center fire

Damage estimated at $60 million from Safeway center fire

RICHMOND, Calif. -- Safeway Stores said a spectacular blaze at the supermarket chain's biggest distribution center caused an estimated $60 million damage -- half of it to stored groceries -- but that area food prices would not rise because of the worst fire in the city's history.
The fire started about 10 p.m. Monday, and firefighters said it was under control by 3 a.m. Tuesday, but flames could still be seen 24 hours later at the 3.5-acre complex.
At its height, flames shooting hundreds of feet in the air could be seen 15 miles away across the bay in downtown San Francisco. Fire investigators could still not get into the sprawling warehouse complex Tuesday because of the intense heat and flames, which were being allowed to burn themselves out.
The fire caused $30 million damage to the warehouse complex and another $30 million in inventory loss, but company officials said Tuesday that Safeway's prices would not be affected by the losses, even though the center distributed food to 200 stores in northern and central California.
'This will not have any impact on our stores,' Safeway spokesman Bob Bradford said Tuesday, adding that supplies would be obtained from four wholesalers in the San Francisco Bay area as well as from other Safeway depots in the West.
Scores of firefighters remained at the huge distribution center Tuesday, but Capt. Joseph Robinson said the flames were in no danger of spreading and 'We're just letting it burn itself out.'
Nearly 200 night shift workers were in the warehouse when the fire broke out, but there were no injuries. The cause of the blaze was not known.
There were reports by warehouse workers that the fire was sparked when a forklift accidentally struck a lighting fixture on the 30-foot ceiling, sending a shower of sparks down upon stacks of paper products.
The building's sprinkler system was activated, but proved no match for flames that raged through stacks of toilet paper, towels and other highly flammible products, fanned by winds coming off San Francisco Bay at better than 40 mph, firefighters said.
Flying embers started several small fires around the complex, but all were put out quickly.
Employees said the fire erupted in the paper goods section, where towels, tissues, toilet paper and other highly flammable products were stacked.
'The whole thing happened so fast you wouldn't believe it,' said Mike McDow, who was on a forklift several aisles from the fire.

Dear Senator Feinstein:

The legislation addressing immigration, domestic terrorism and Public Corruption which is unfolding with the indictments of PG&E, California State Senator Leland Yee and another case in Contra Costa County where the head of the narcotics task force, his private investigator friends were arrested locally known as the CNET Scandal or Dirty DUI.

Arson Operation - Mission Bay, Walnut Creek, Chevron, and San Bruno
In 2004 I was an arson target, I narrowly escaped being burned alive, in 2001 someone torched my attorneys offices, in 2004 the Kinder Morgan Pipeline explosion in Walnut Creek Pipeline Explosion killed five, but Eiko Sugihara died in 2009, and a two homeless person in tents and in February someone lit a young man on fire at the Concord BART Station.

In 2008 Butte County's largest fire nearly consumed the entire town of Paradise CA which is known as the Humbolt Road Fire.  I have linked persons with connections to Contra Costa County, San Bruno, San Francisco and Butte County but wouldn't be surprised to find connections to other fires.

Major Re insurer ~ Significant Risk Via Law Enforcement

With the help of the 48 Hours Documentary a call arrived that allowed me to link CNET to this insurers Special Investigations Unit (SIU).  It's being processed from Contra Costa County out of reach to traditional investigative deflectors.

State Department of Insurance
During 2012 I discovered that members of Hillside Covenant Church were communicating with my sons and that was after my car was totaled in July 2011.  A series of incidents connected my sons to my laptop breach involving sensitive PG&E Data.

Since engaging with PG&E as a software development consultant.

Used to destroy my business, put first my sons and ex on welfare, then left me unable to pay child support, cost the State Of California, Medi-cal, Food Stamps with prosecution costs to Butte County of at least 100,000, the loss of software projects worth millions in services down the drain with me getting fired with a tap on the shoulder.

VALLEJO -- A fast-moving warehouse fire at a former San Francisco Bay Area Navy shipyard lit up the night sky, but caused no injuries.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/1hQ5ZVv ) Friday that the fire broke out shortly before midnight Thursday at the Alco Metal & Iron Company, a recycling yard, on Mare Island.
Residents were being asked to avoid the area Friday, but an official shelter-in-place advisory was not issued. Flames from the fire could be seen east of San Francisco.
The fire department responded a year ago Saturday to a big fire in the same recycling yard.
Mare Island was also the site of a four-alarm fire in an abandoned barracks last August and a fire in 2005 that destroyed $200 million worth of wine and resulted in the conviction of an arsonist, the newspaper reported.

Lease Breaker: Massive Mare Island warehouse fire at former Navy

The Vallejo Fire Department confirmed a "massive" three-alarm warehouse fire on Mare Island shortly before midnight Thursday.

According to the department, the fire on the former Navy shipyard was a "commercial structure fire" at Alco Metal & Iron Company, a recycler at 629 Azuar Drive.

As late as 3 a.m. Friday, the department was asking residents to avoid the area.

The fire department responded almost exactly a year ago to a three-alarm fire in Alco's recycling yard on August 22, 2014, according to published reports at that time.

Mare Island was also the site of a large four-alarm fire in an abandoned barracks last August and a fire in 2005 that destroyed $200 million worth of wine and resulted in the conviction of an arsonist.

Sheriff: Cal Fire official missing after killing fiancee

Orville Fleming
Sheriff: Cal Fire official missing after killing fiancee

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) —The white pickup truck belonging to a Cal Fire battalion chief suspected of killing his 26-year-old fiancee has been found in Elk Grove.

But 55-year-old Orville Fleming remains at large, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department on Thursday night.
The vehicle is a 2007 Chevy with a Cal Fire logo painted on its side. Officers with the Elk Grove Police Department found the unoccupied truck about 8 p.m. at Black Kite Drive and Apricot Woods Way.
Neither an air nor a ground search has revealed any sightings of Fleming.
He does have ties to the Elk Grove neighborhood where police found the truck, said sheriff's spokeswoman Lisa Bowman, although she didn't indicate what those were.
Witnesses in the neighborhood said it's possible the truck could have been parked in the area since the early morning hours.
Fleming is accused of killing Sarah Douglas in the couple's South Sacramento home, and then taking off -- possibly to the Fresno/Clovis area, officials said Thursday.
Douglas' aunt, Trina Werly, said the pair had been together "a couple years."
"(People) said he was a good guy, but he was very obsessive and controlling and possessing over her," Werly said. "I believe he has firearms."
Fleming works as a Cal Fire instructor in Ione, and has been with the state fire agency for 24 years. Cal Fire officials are working with the sheriff on the investigation.
"Right now, we have to let the sheriff's office do their investigation (and) figure out what happened -- who was involved," Cal Fire spokesman Daniel Berlant said. "Because of how serious this is though, we are absolutely supporting them in (every) way that we can."
Douglas' sister found Sarah dead in a bedroom, the aunt told KCRA 3.
" ... You never want to find a family member like this -- the way that he left her was tragic," Werly said. "It was extremely violent. You can see there was a serious struggle."
It was around 9 a.m. Thursday when deputies learned of the body found inside the home, which sits in the 9300 block of Fox River Way. It's not clear how they were tipped off to Fleming as a suspect.
"(Douglas') mom said that when she met (Fleming), she felt he would try to do something to Sarah," Werly said.
Investigators said earlier Thursday that they believed Fleming wouldn't stick around the Sacramento area.
In addition to the Fresno region, he has ties to several other parts of California, the sheriff's department said.
Fleming has brown hair and brown eyes, stands at 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 190 pounds, deputies said.
Anyone who has had any contact with Fleming, or spotted the man, is asked to to call 916-874-5115. Homicide detectives are working the case.
"We're wondering how this is going to all turn out," Werly said. "My family is going to take a lot to recover from this. Sarah is a good girl. She'll be really missed."
KCRA 3's Claire Doan contributed to this report.

Benicia family missing following El Dorado County fire

A Benicia family is missing following a fire in El Dorado County, according to a press release Friday.

Adam Buchanan, his 7-year-old son Gavin and Gavin's mother Molly McAfee have been reported missing after a fire gutted Buchanan's cabin near Georgetown in El Dorado County "last weekend," according to the release.
The actual date of the fire was not immediately available.
The statement was released by the law offices of Gizzi & Reep, LLP in Benicia.

Buchanan is the president and chief operating officer of Buchanan Construction, Inc. located in the Benicia Industrial Park and a longtime Benician, the release states.

Investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and the whereabouts of Buchanan, McAfee and Gavin.

"In the meantime, the remaining members of Adam's family are cooperating with authorities in their investigation and sincerely appreciate the outpouring of kindness from the community during this very difficult time," the statement says. "Until the family receives answers to the same questions that so many in the community have, they request their privacy to be respected, and that the community continue to keep Adam and his family in their thoughts and prayers."

They are all very dead where there are so many deaths near my family, roommates, audience, clients, public officials, bankers and real agents.

    3. The Perfect Arson Target for my connection to the Gas Pipeline Explosions
Dear Mr. Cherry,

I am writing to express my concerns over the handling of my complaints in regards to following events related to payments or lack of, several hit and runs targeting this former PG&E vendor and related information connecting the 2004 Kinder Morgan Fire in Walnut Creek CA, several fires in Walnut Creek, the kidnapping of a PG&E Employee working in the same building Wiget address where project meetings were held and the near pathetic indifferent response from PG&E security, the legal department, outside legal counsel Attorney Kate Dyer and internal PG&E resources who've been fully informed about the many attempts on my life since being contracted to PG&E post explosion efforts.

Paying Your Vendors (me) vs. Leaving me to be hit by cars

Around 9:00 AM today (7/26/14) another attempt was made to hit me in a crosswalk.  Last year my roommate was mugged resulting in severe head injury, my other roommate was David Bremer was murdered somewhere between Walnut Creek to Martinez Detention Facility (MDF)) where he was beaten to death.

He was a nice kid sad story here in Contra Costa County where we should really call this place Cold Case County as we have blacks hanging from trees back in the 80s, where little old Japanese Ladies (Fake Tip Line) burn to death on remote road,  where the Town of Lafayette Chief Christiansen refused to investigate my July 20th, 2011 accident but lest not forget I was nearly killed while working on the deadliest gas pipeline explosion in the country.

PG&E Security, Inside and Outside Counsel

A few weeks ago I visited PG&E Offices in an attempt to resolve the Ravenell issues.  My goal was to get paid but instead I was left outside with the three goons.  We'll tell the goons that once again someone tried to run me today and this time they missed again but it was close.

Outside Counsel Attorney Kate Dyer

  1. Possible Domestic Terrorism Access
    • Valves, Gas Lines, Fuel Lines and related infrastructure information
  2. Metcalf Station Maps
    • Possible connection to Sniper Attack
  3. PG&E Software Sub Contractor Dispute
    1. Connected accidents and several attempted murders of this vendor
    2.  Ravenel Enterprises - False PG&E Projects / Internal Security Breach
  4. SharePoint Documents Stolen From Laptop

      1. When you don't pay your bills it actually effects others
    2. One near fatal accident in 2005
    3. The Perfect Arson Target for my connection to the Gas Pipeline Explosions

The Core Issues Are:

  • The PG&E San Bruno Gas Line Explosion
  • A PG&E Funded software development project with Ravenel Enterprises
  • Possible Domestic Terrorism data breach
  • The Metcalf Sniper Attack
  • Connections between the only two deadly Northern California Gas Pipeline/Fuel Line Explosions
  • Domestic Terrorism Links related to pipe bombs
  • The San Bruno Fire Gas Can Man
  • The Hillgrade Ave Pipe Bomb Events - Dangerous Downstream Valve Attack
  • The Driscoll Murders Connected to the Kinder Morgan Fire
  • The deceased witness
PG&E's Failure to Address Complaints

On July 20th 2011 my car was totaled enroute to Lafayette CA from Walnut Creek.  At the time I was contracted to PG&E where unknowingly possessed thousands of pages of maps, GPS, sensitive internal documents, litigation sensitive files, and was essentially by definition facing criminal imprisonment over Child Support a problem developed over issues related to persons now in Federal Prison

I'm also betting they are now key suspects in many primarily East Bay arson fires which in brief several are highlighted below

  1. Attorney Don Moats at 1776 Ygnacio Valley Road 2001
  2. August 2004 Bennett Truck Fire (arson) NB 680 Danville
  3. November 2004 Kinder Morgan
  4. March 2010 Piedmont Fire - Pictures by SFPD Lt. David Oberhoffer
  5. Sept 2010 San Bruno Fire

There are many East Bay Fires started by molotov cocktails being tossed through businesses along with far too many restaurant fires of which several are businesses connected to my former Commercial Cabinet Shop Projects back in the 80s.

Throughout my blog you'll find references to many incidents that go far beyond the Explosions.

I've endured pre/posts San Bruno Fire and pre Kinder Morgan Explosions.  Lafayette Police's handling of my 2011 accident which was they refused to handle it meaning no police report, no investigation and tough luck you were almost killed.

    PG&E Software Sub Contractor Dispute

In March 2011 I was contracted to PG&E at the rate of $65 per hour to develop tracking databases in highly fluid project connected to the HydroTesting, the San Bruno Fire and Welding all of which are connected to this US Grand Jury Indictment where I personally appreciate the gusto of Senator Jerry who is out there shouting for his constituents which in contrast State Senator Mark DeSaulnier

    Coming soon . ..
    Possible Domestic Terrorism Links

Without great detail at this time there are numerous connections to the PG&E and Kinder Morgan Fire.  I've met probing PI's, probing investigators, law enforcement personnel and respective investigators who all have come to me.  The only time I reached out directly was to CAL Fire Pipeline Safety Group, then later to EBMUD who are fully informed about my position about deaths near their catastrophic event.
