Yep Pete knows Kaiser from the inside but when
Kaiser needed a programmer they called Pete Bennett
Apparently over 20 years of IT Experience he wasn't qualified

(CNN)Bernard Tyson, the CEO of Kaiser Permanente, died in his sleep early Sunday at the age of 60.

Between 2000 and up to around 2007, Pete Bennett ended up in the ER many times with a litany of unusual medical maladies.  Most incidents Bennett was treated at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center in Martinez CA.  Many of his caregivers were connected to the larger bay area Mormon community which extends into Salt Lake City and members of family.

(CNN)Bernard Tyson, the CEO of Kaiser Permanente, died in his sleep early Sunday at the age of 60, the company confirmed to CNN Business. Tyson had served as chief executive since 2013 and chairman since 2014 after a more than 30-year career with the company.
In addition to leading one of the nation's largest nonprofit health plans, Tyson was the company's first black CEO and a champion for accessible healthcare, racial justice and workplace diversity. Time Magazine named him to its "100 Most Influential People" list in 2017 and its list of 50 top leaders in healthcare in 2018.
"An outstanding leader, visionary and champion for high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans, Bernard was a tireless advocate for Kaiser Permanente, our members and the communities we serve," the company said in a statement Sunday.
Based in Oakland, California, Kaiser Permanente is a not-for-profit hospital and health insurance system serving 12.3 million people in eight states and the District of Columbia. Executive Vice President and Group President Gregory Adams has been named as interim chairman and CEO, the company said Sunday.
During his tenure at Kaiser, the company grew its workforce of 174,000 to 218,000 people, and its annual revenue from $53 billion to nearly $83 billion. Tyson also served on the board of directors for the American Heart Association and Salesforce and was a member of the Business Council, a group of the United States' 200 leading CEOs.
"A light unto this world has gone out," Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, tweeted Sunday. "He always did so much for others & the world. One of the world's greatest CEOs. I will always remember him with LOVE in my heart."
In recent years, Tyson has become known as a leading voice on issues of race.
After the 2014 shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, Tyson published an essay titled "It's Time to Revolutionize Race Relations" detailing the different ways he was treated in the C-Suite versus his everyday life.
"You would think my experience as a top executive would be different from a black man who is working in a retail or food service job to support his family. Yet, he and I both understand the commonality of the black male experience that remains consistent no matter what the economic status or job title," Tyson wrote, adding that he had been followed in high-end stores and had servers in restaurants explain to him how to tip "since apparently black men don't understand this concept."
The day before his death, Tyson spoke at a conference on equity in healthcare and technology. Earlier that week, Tyson spoke on a panel at the AT&T Business Summit, where he discussed the need for companies to be both diverse and inclusive of diverse workforces.
"What I'm after is bringing the most diverse populations inside of my organization and tapping into the brilliant minds that come from a universe of experiences that are very different depending on how you grew up, your community, your neighborhood, how you solve problems," Tyson said at the AT&T event Tuesday.
"Inclusiveness is very important to me and that means when I step into the room — yes, I may be different from everybody at the table — but I don't have to 'fit in.' I get to come in and be who I am and I create a different organism inside of that group dynamic for us to take performance to the next level," he said.

At the time the jail was managed by Patty Grant and Commander Chris Wenzel who careers spans nearly every city under control of the Contra Costa Sheriff.

More to come later on how important this highly suspicious death connects to the FBI investigation around former State Senator Don Perata, Councilman Mike Shimansky, Councilman Gary Bell, and Tax Collector Bill Pollacek and how all these incidents connect to the indictment of Contra Costa District Attorney Mark Peterson.

One unseen connection is Michael Peterson attends Alamo 1st Ward with Attorney Rick Kopf of Fremont Group and Southern Pacific, Attorney James Greenan, Former resident and Attorney David Harmer and Greg Smyth of CBRE is what Pete Bennett knows.

Thomas Crane Wales (June 23, 1952 – October 11, 2001) was an American federal prosecutor and gun control advocate from SeattleWashington, who was the victim of an unsolved murder that has been characterized as an assassination. In 2018, FBI officials announced they strongly suspected the killing to have been carried out by a paid hit man.

      Life and work[edit]

Wales was born in BostonMassachusetts. Wales was a graduate of Milton Academy, where he roomed with Joseph Patrick Kennedy II, the son of Robert F. Kennedy. Wales graduated from Harvard University. He attended Hofstra Law School, where he graduated with distinction in 1979 and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the school's Law Review.[1][2]
In 1995, a student at the high school that Wales' son attended brought a gun to school and shot and injured two classmates. Soon after, Wales became involved in Washington CeaseFire, most visibly as a vocal supporter of an unsuccessful 1997 state referendum that would have required gun owners to use trigger locks. Wales later became president of CeaseFire. As a community volunteer, he was active in civic organizations and served as a trustee of the Federal Bar Association.[1][2]
Wales worked as an assistant U.S. Attorney in Seattle specializing in the investigation and prosecution of fraud in banking and business.[2][1]

      Death[edit]

On the evening of Thursday, October 11, 2001, Wales was sitting at his computer in his home office in his basement. A gunman avoided the security lights in Wales' backyard and shot him in the neck, through a window, with a handgun. The killer left shell casings behind. The shots were heard by a neighbor who called 9-1-1.[3]
Wales is believed to be the only U.S. federal prosecutor in history to have been victim of an assassination.[4]

      Legacy[edit]

In his memory, the Thomas C. Wales Foundation was set up to support civic engagement, and Thomas C. Wales Park in Seattle was dedicated in 2011.[5][6]

      Murder investigation[edit]

      Sketch of possible witness.
Following the murder, the U.S. Government offered a $1 million reward for information "leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible" for Wales' murder.[1] As of 2018, however, the case remained unsolved and no evidence has been found to establish a motive.[7][8][9] An airplane pilot that Wales had prosecuted was investigated and his home searched, but he was not charged. The Bellevue airline pilot, once prosecuted by Wales, was also a firearms enthusiast. Agents believed he resented Wales' off-duty activism as a leading gun-control advocate.[10] The pilot later filed a malicious prosecution claim, but the suit was dismissed.[11]
It has been suggested by the media that U.S Attorney John McKay was dismissed in part due to his request that resource allocation for the Wales investigation remain high. In June 2007, the FBI cut the staff assigned to the case down to two.[12]
In February 2018, an FBI official reported the investigation had found "evidence strongly suggesting" Wales was murdered by a professional killerand, for the first time, indicated that his death was likely a conspiracy involving a small group of people.[9] The U.S. Department of Justice, meanwhile, announced that United States Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein would arrive in Seattle on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, to brief media on the progress of the 16-year-old investigation.[9]

Gordon Caplan, the New York-based co-chair of international law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher

Gordon Caplan, the New York-based co-chair of international law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher and The American Lawyer’s 2018 Dealmaker of the Year, has been named as a defendant in a nationwide college admissions scandal.

In a press conference held Tuesday, U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts Andrew Lelling named Caplan among nearly 50 defendants charged for their alleged role in a nationwide scheme to manipulate the U.S. college admissions system. Among the defendants: Actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman—wife of actor William H. Macy—best known for her roles on "Desperate Housewives" and "Transamerica."

Participants from several states—including Florida, New York, Texas, California and Connecticut—allegedly faked test scores, took college exams for students, bribed coaches and created fake profiles to improve applicant's chances of gaining admission by making them appear to be athletes. According to Massachusetts prosecutors, wealthy parents hired defendant William Singer to bolster their children's chances of college admission.

As for Caplan, the complaint against him alleges he gave $75,000 to an organization that paid bribes to college officials and others involved in the scheme.

Read the allegations against Caplan, beginning on page 22

Court filings claim the attorney unknowingly communicated with a participant covertly working with investigators and asked for for assurance that the scheme worked. According to the charging document, that participant told Caplan the group had served nearly 800 other families, and the two allegedly shared a laugh over the arrangement’s repeated success.

Willkie’s website lists Caplan as the is firm's co-chairman, a member of its executive committee, and partner in its private equity practice group and corporate and financial services department. Its bio touts Caplan's experience “representing equity sponsors as well as public and private companies on a spectrum of corporate matters, including private equity financings, public securities offerings” and more.

Caplan has also garnered prestigious industry nods. In March 2018, he was named to The American Lawyer's “Dealmakers of the Year” list for his representation of Hudson's Bay Co. in “a series of interlocking cross-border transactions that breathed new life” into the company's business.

But his latest turn in the spotlight came at a press conference by law enforcement officials from the Internal Revenue Service, FBI and the U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts.

The complaint filed in the U.S. District of Massachusetts alleges that between 2011 and 2018, parents “paid approximately $25 million to bribe coaches and university administrators to designate their children as purported recruited athletes, or as members of other favored admissions categories, thereby facilitating the children’s admission to those universities.”

It alleges defendant Singer used his connections to athletic programs and coaches around the country via  his companies The Edge College & Career Network and the Key Worldwide Foundation in Newport Beach, California. Besides providing Singer a front for bribery scheme, prosecutors allege these organizations o facilitated money laundering.

An assistant who answered Caplan's phone number at the firm on Tuesday said only "no comment." A spokeswoman for Willkie wasn't available to comment. The firm's chairman, Steven Gartner, did not immediately reply to an email message seeking comment about Caplan.
