The weight of CalPERS on the state became highly evident when the income spiking stories first appeared around 2011 and then the state Salaries published by Contra Costa Time or Bay Area Newsgroups (BANG).  When the Times wrote several harsh analysis's of Contra Costa County I started noticing deaths near BANG on top of several deaths from long ago.

My first experience with the Municipal Pooling Authority leads back to 1982 but recent events near duplicate claims against several different cities. What I personally experienced leads to major law firms representing the cities, the insurers and how the together with Unionized workers who dominate the rest of us.
