San Bruno fire victim: Elizabeth Torres, 81, was matriarch of large extended family By Lisa Fernandez lfernandez@mercurynews.com

The large Torres family is suffering the loss of a family matriarch, as relatives pray that three other family members will recover rapidly from burns resulting from the blast.
Elizabeth Torres, 81, who lived with her daughter Cindy and son-in-law Allen Braun in a Claremont Drive home in San Bruno, died despite Braun's attempt to rescue her by carrying her to the front porch, said one of Torres' nine children, David Wharton, 57, of Fair Oaks.
"He saved my mom," Wharton said. "But a second blast" killed her.
Braun is now in the hospital with 40 percent of his body burned, Wharton said.
Braun's wife, Cindy, 45, and her sister Sandy Arnold, 58, are both in induced comas at St. Francis hospital. Arnold, who lives in Petaluma and works as an office clerk, has burns on 70 percent of her body. Cindy Braun, who used to be an office manager for Forbes magazine, has burns covering half her body, Wharton said.
"This is monumental for us," he said. "The only reason I can talk is because I haven't accepted it yet."
He said his mother worked as a nurse's aide for UC San Francisco for 27 years. In her later years, she got around in a wheelchair, even when she visited casinos, a favorite pastime. Torres was married twice and had nine children: Everett, Virginia, Sandy, David, Linda, Michael, Sharon, Gregory and Cindy.

Collateral Victims

Sergeant Paul Starzyk, 47, was a devoted family man and dedicated police officer. On Sept. 6, 2008, Sergeant Paul Starzyk was killed in the line of duty protecting those whom he was sworn to serve. His co-workers write, "Here is a man that got all he ever wanted. Great career, good friends, the best wife, and a great life. He left this world with no regrets. No matter where he ended up, he is sure he will see some of his co-workers there." Paul was born in Madison, Wis., and grew up in DeKalb, Ill. Paul graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. After graduation, Paul accepted a position with the Bank of America Corp., which led to his move to California. After excelling in this industry, he realized his true calling was in helping others, a realization that led him to a career in law enforcement. Paul Starzyk started his law enforcement career as a reserve police officer at the Martinez Police Department in 1992. In 1996, Paul became a full-time police officer, serving the citizens of Martinez on a daily basis. In December 2007, Paul continued his professional journey and was promoted to the position of police sergeant. Paul was always seen as a leader in the police department and has always had the respect and admiration of his fellow law enforcement officers. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Shannon, and their three children, Vincent, 6, Jacob, 4, and Jessica, 20 months. With Shannon, Paul said he finally had everything he ever really wanted. Paul and Shannon's life became complete after the birth of their three children. Paul is also survived by his parents, Marvin and Ann Starzyk of Rockway, Ill.; and his three sisters, Elizabeth, Kathryn and Julia. Paul loved with all his heart and he made us laugh so very often. Paul was an expert skier and an accomplished tri-athlete. He loved playing video games with his kids and long-distance bicycle rides. He was a loyal friend, and more importantly, he was a happy, humorous man we all enjoyed so very much. He was a true hero! Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Concord Pavilion. The Martinez Police Officers Association has created a trust fund to help Paul's family in their time of need. When CBS 48 Hours ran "Soccer Moms Confidential" I knew that I'd seen the distinctive tattoos on the arms of the woman who emerged in the center.  One day in Downtown Walnut Creek around January 2013 those arms walked by me as I was singing and playing guitar.  Another face that would walk by was Charles Silverman. By July 2012 I'd exhausted all my attempts to get Lafayette Police Chief Christiansen to followup on my July 2011 Hit and Run which was and always will be an attempted murder.  That accident leads to back to Silverman, McNulty, Greenan and Reed plus others.

UPDATE: WCPD Officer Pleads No Contest to Beating Woman with Baseball Bat in Richmond

A Walnut Creek police officer pleaded no contest
A Walnut Creek police officer pleaded no contest in a Martinez courtroom this afternoon to charges that he donned a mask and beat a woman with a baseball bat in Richmond last month.

Gregory Thompson, a 54-year-old Martinez resident and 30-year Walnut Creek police veteran, entered the no contest pleas in Contra Costa County Superior Court to charges of felony assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, felony vandalism and being armed in the commission of the crimes.

Dressed in a suit and tie, Thompson appeared out of custody next to his attorney in court today, weeks after bailing out of county jail in Richmond following his Aug. 16 arrest.

Thompson refused to answer questions from reporters outside the courtroom this morning and left in a waiting car.

Deputy District Attorney Barry Grove said prosecutors will ask for a one-year county jail sentence for Thompson but that he could face up to five years in state prison. His sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 10.

Grove said Thompson went to his father’s vacant home on Clinton Avenue in Richmond in the early morning hours of Aug. 16, knowing that the house had been burglarized recently, according to Grove.

When he saw an unknown woman walking near the home, he believed she was an intruder, donned a ski mask and “he took the law into his own hands and beat her with a baseball bat,” Grove said.

The woman’s car had run out of gas and she was walking in the area when Thompson attacked, prosecutors said.

Richmond police received several reports around 2 a.m. on Aug. 16 of a woman screaming and a man with a bat in the 4000 block of Clinton Avenue.

As officers arrived on the scene, witnesses pointed out Thompson, who was sitting nearby in his parked car. He wasn’t wearing his police uniform or in a patrol car at the time, police said.

Officers approached the suspect and noticed a mask lying on the car’s floorboard. A search of the car turned up a baseball bat, two guns and zip ties, police said.

The victim, who had been hiding in the bushes until police arrived, was taken to a hospital for injuries suffered in the beating and is expected to recover.

Police last month were attempting to locate a second woman who was apparently wounded when she stepped in to try to stop the attack. An off-duty firefighter also witnessed part of the attack, according to Grove.

Thompson, who identified himself as a police officer, was arrested, taken to county jail and released on bail the following day.

Walnut Creek police have said Thompson was put on paid administrative leave soon after his arrest and that the department is conducting its own investigation.

He was working most recently as a patrol officer, according to Walnut Creek police Capt. Mark Perlite.

Walnut Creek police officials were not immediately available this afternoon to comment on Thompson’s employment status.

Unfortunate Victims of the Kinder Morgan Gas Line Explosion

Witness Murders

Throughout my blogs I've documented law enforcement failures but when Lafayette Police refused to investigate my July 2011 accident I knew someone was pulling the strings.

The Explosion Facts

  • Five Dead Welders
  • One Key Witness
  • One Mother, One Daughter

The Case Summary

What reeks about this explosion is the loose ends, the explosion details, the dead witnesses, the possible deaths of students who were on the field and the undeniable connection to the Contra Costa Bar Association that exerts lock step control over Bar Members.
On my blogs about explosions you were learn my well founded up close and connected to numerous explosions and arson incidents supports my position that the A Serial Domestic Terrorism Group is run from the East Bay and greater Bay Area.

Kinder Morgan 2004

After several years of researching incidents connected to my personal story it was getting extremely clear that there were other victims.  Around 2008 after losing software gigs valued in the tens of thousands in revenues it was getting clear I was being targeted.  Turning to Law Enforcement was futile with nothing but dead ends.
  • Cal Fire Pipeline Safety Group
  • EBMUD – when they informed of my allegations
  • Walnut Creek Police Investigators
  • The Attorneys

Suspected Payoff

The Kinder Morgan investigation and litigation moved quickly through the District Attorney’s Offices where investigators, police officers and a plaintiff attorney, now a public official the huge mistake by making contact.  I have detailed

The Cover-up Exposed itself

The ongoing harassment by many Walnut Creek officers didn’t work on me but instead forced to fight harder, the tickets, fines and thefts of my servers, laptops coupled with the loss of five offices over a ten year period kept pointing back to police.

The Conclusion –

In desperation I called the SEC Whistleblower unit on Kinder Morgan as someone was trying to kill one of their agents.

That person is an unknown witness to the explosion and a few days after that I got a call – someone shot the tires of the agents cars.  They were brilliant they used  DU Round.

MERRITT L. WIESINGER Family Law Attorney

Wiesinger and Bennett History

Around 2008 I was about to retain Wiesinger to take over my case.  That would be remove Attorney Dax Craven and replace him with Merritt Wiesinger.  The day of the first meeting was on Monday morning.  Before I left the house his office called - their client was murdered over the weekend so they had to cancel the meeting but asked to reschedule the meeting.

When winning turns deadly

  • One murder in Las Vegas
  • Nov 2011 Roma Bhatia San Ramon
  • August 2014 in Alamo on Stone Valley Road.
Retaining Wiesinger for my divorce.

  • Via Third Party (The Arranger)
    • $10,000 for the mediator, and
    • $7,500 for the Attorney
    • Kids back in Six Months

When I saw a mediators report on a certain case it was clear what they've doing to the other party.  I just wonder how many troubled families were sent over the edge.

The Obituaries - Too Many Suicides, Murder/Suicides, Accidents and Murders

Hello From Down Under!

One day way back in 1979 there were two murders next to my house in Pleasant Hill on a Farm known as the Cabbage Patch which was because the farmer grew Cabbage.  One day the chemical shed exploded and then the farmer vanished.  For years I walked the farm and knew the farmer.

One day a Walnut Creek AAA Tow Truck drove by with a 1918 Muni Railway Truck on a dolly.  In the truck was Charlie who was once my neighbor in Walnut Creek where the farmers next us also disappeared.
If it seems like a pattern it is.

Alamo man who died in burning vehicle identified

UPDATED:   09/04/2014 11:30:27 AM PDT

ALAMO -- A man who died after he was trapped in a burning vehicle over the weekend has been identied as an Alamo man.

The California Highway Patrol said 60-year-old Michael Sevenau died after the silver 2000 Jaguar he was driving went off the road, hit a tree and caught fire. The wreck happened just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

An investigation showed the Jaguar was traveling east on Stone Valley Road and wound up in the west side of the road before colliding first with some mailboxes, CHP Officer John Fransen said. The Jaguar then spun around, broke through a wooden fence and down a dirt embankment before hitting the tree.

Police are still investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the wreck. Investigators have not yet determined if Sevenau suffered a medical issue while he was behind the wheel.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is a story in a story here with where they talk about the homeless like it's a problem.  It's a problem it's a by product of Civil Procedure, Health and Safety Codes, Property Rights, Real Estate Ownership and Development.

In 2011 my car was totaled in Lafayette CA, then just prior there was a pipeline explosion in San Bruno CA that devasted a nieghborhood, killed eight while impacting thousands.  On July 30th 2014, PG&E who was the pipeline operator was indicted for obstructing justice.  What few know is I was a developer for PG&E under a subcontracting aggreement with one of their approved vendors.  \Around July 23rd, I decided it was time to meet PG&E about their vendor.  I was met with endless resistance from PG&E Security so after three years I had enough.  I penned another bombastic letter to the US Attorney, FBI plus the cities or towns of Lafayette, San Bruno and Walnut Creek.

On June 26th, I'd filed claims with the City of Walnut Creek over hit and run attempts.  I was nearly killed by a high speed driver a week later but this was the same 550 SL Mercedes trolling me with the full support of Walnut Creek Officers.  Yes I am alledging certain officers tried to kill me.

Todd was hit and nearly killed on S. California Blvd. Walnut Creek.

He faces long term medical, has cost Medi-cal close to $250,000, was tossed from John Muir hospital in a classic patient dumping case which lowers them to cities such as L.A. or S.F. but that's the sad we don't world we live in. We'll spend millions on a person close to end of life because they've got the money (Insurance) and can provide the biggest bang for buck. Medi-cal patients to the street. His body was crushed but he was 1000 feet from Kaiser but they took him to John Muir instead.

Murder By Bacteria - Bennett/Glover/Shimansky/Bell/Pollacek/Doc's Pharmacy

Murder By Bacteria
The Unfortunate Possibility

2004 Bennett Arson that was witnessed by a Danville Officer, the 2011 Walnut Creek CHP Arrest (setup), and this particular impersonation of a CHP officer occurred shortly after Officer Youngstrom was killed on SB 680 Alamo CA.  He's the same funny guy I'd met at Starbucks Walnut Creek CA on near the N. Main/Treat Blvd.  My view is slightly different as he killed by a job seeker being duped by a firm using his acquired skills for Fake H1b Visa interviews but his solution to the problem completely wrong.

One troubling incident was the person wearing CHP Work Coveralls known to be worn by officers at Truck Inspection Stations.  The officer represented himself as being employed by CHP but he was wearing a Dark Blue Navy Uniform.  In 2004 I thought it was a CHP officer that arrived at the truck fire but now I suspect it was a Danville Officer as the motorcycle had Black and White side box's not the CHP Harley Motorcycles.

That subtle mistake was ignored by CHP's Martinez offices and then their Internal Affairs Unit who would have benefited knowing I've narrowed down the suspects to police officers.

  • A Danville Motorcycle Unit
  • Mechanic at Greggs Muffler Lafayette CA
  • LPD Chief Eric Christiansen who in 2012 told me my car accident was just unfortunate.
  • Municipal Pooling Authority using the legal system to intimidate citizens.

CHP Threat Assessment Unit (TAU)

When I asked for help from Senator Mark Desaulnier he called the CHP Threat Assessment Unit where in the first interview explained my long held suspicions that persons near the CNET investigation were being railroaded, harmed and/or being targeted by Police Officers not yet identified.

Update: Walnut Creek Officer Arrested

Civil Rights Violations: Seize and Sell - The final solution white, black, yellow or red

Seize and Sell

Forfeiture Laws Abused

There is a case in the Walnut Creek area where a San Jose Car dealer was indicted for loan fraud at his car dealership. His mistake was stealing over $40,000 for his personal use and not realizing he was supposed give the money to the bank. The story later become car dealer kills finance and then self after his days of freedom were coming to a close. Then how do you explain several bullets left in the wall? Or that a Contra Costa Deputy bought the house around 24 months later or that the nice price of half off?

The real Contra Costa Story - shoot to kill and let the attorneys deal with it later.  The long legacy of police shootings that in many cases could be avoided.

No more deaths by misdemeanor as it's a waste of life and money but in Contra Costa County money is more important.

OFFICIALS INVESTIGATE CAUSE OF FATAL FIERY CAR CRASH IN ALAMO

Sunday, August 31, 2014 ALAMO, Calif. (KGO) -- One person is dead after a fiery car crash in Alamo Sunday morning. Investigators say the car was heading east on Stone Valley Road when it veered off the road into a residential area.

The driver hit a light pole, several mailboxes and a fence.

The car then caught fire with the driver trapped inside.

Investigators are still trying to determine whether alcohol is a factor in this crash.

Stone Valley Rd at Miranda

Just east of 680 Miranda Road is a left hand turn.  Down the road from this accident was the April 2013 Death of William Schramm at Round Hill Country Club. >

Like so many other accidents for no apparent reason this car veers off the road, crashes and catches on fire where the occupant succumbs to either the accident then fire or fire then expires.
